a good time was had by all

i had the boys today. their grandma came and picked us up and took us for a carriage ride at spiegel grove. it was lovely. then we went back to their grandparents' house for a little bit and had hot chocolate and the kids got to play with their grandpa's new slot machine. their grandpa and i talked about the boys a little and he described the boys' personalities to a T...i'm surprised i didn't think of it before. the little one is casanova and the older one is doubting thomas. that is exactly them. i knew from the first time i babysat them that casanova was going to be a ladies man....a cocky, jerky one. last friday he told me that one girl in his class called him cute, hot and sexy...i didn't know what to say...i was shocked by the word sexy. i didn't even know how i should handle it so pretended not to hear. then later he said the word in front of his grandpa...who is a real hardass...and he didn't even do anything! i couldn't believe it. i knew that word at age seven (casanova is 6) but i didn't know the context! oh well. anyway i had a pretty good day with the boys although they were super-wound up after the carriage ride. Tomorrow should be more low-key...hopefully. I cleaned my room up and packed stuff away that was just taking up room. It was good fun. I have a little more cleaning to do to make the room look nice for having company over tomorrow. I'll have time after work to do that. i'm so tired. i need sleep so i don't fall asleep at work again. good night...day 3!
